We are so thrilled to welcome Christina Gonzales to CookeMcDermid! She is represented by Ron Eckel.
Christina Gonzales has a master’s degree in journalism from Newcastle University (UK) and previously served as opinions editor at Maclean’s. Her piece in Toronto Life titled “The Nanny Diaries,” on Filipina child caregivers, won a National Magazine Award, and she’s been nominated for many more. Her debut horror novel, WHITE ANIMALS, lives where Rachel Yoder’s NIGHTBITCH meets Agustina Bazterrica’s TENDER IS THE FLESH and intertwines the unsettling body horror and psychological unravelling of Han Kang’s THE VEGETARIAN. Born and raised in Toronto, she lives in the Netherlands with her Irish husband and four-year-old son.
