We are so thrilled to welcome Martha Troian to CookeMcDermid! She is represented by Cody Caetano.
Martha Troian is an award-winning investigative journalist and producer from Obishikokaang (Lac Seul) First Nation. With nearly two decades of experience, she reports on Indigenous rights, colonial violence, environmental issues, and missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Her work has led to policy changes, reopened cases, and much-needed justice for families. She produced CBC’s Missing and Murdered, winning 11 awards, and earned a Canadian Hillman Honourable Mention for her work on the Indigenous Water Crisis. Her debut children's book, It’s Powwow Time, came out through HarperCollins' Greenwillow Books imprint. Martha holds a Master of Journalism and is a birch bark harvester and artist. She lives with her family between Manitoba and Ontario.
