ARIEL HENLEY AND CHERIE DIMALINE WIN AT THE AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION YOUTH MEDIA AWARDS

Ariel Henley’s A FACE FOR PICASSO won the Schneider Family Book Award Honor for Best Book for Teens. “The Schneider Family Book Awards honor an author or illustrator for a book that embodies an artistic expression of the disability experience for child and adolescent audiences.”

Cherie Dimaline’s HUNTING BY STARS won the American Indian Library Association Youth Literature Award Young Adult Honor Book, at the 2022 American Library Association Youth Media Awards. “Awarded biennially, the AIYLA identifies and honors the very best writing and illustrations by Native Americans and Indigenous peoples of North America. Books selected to receive the award present Indigenous North American peoples in the fullness of their humanity.”
