Canadian English rights to Fawn Parker's SHUT-IN MAGIC

McClelland & Stewart’s Kelly Joseph has acquired Canadian English rights to Giller Prize-longlisted and Atwood Gibson Writers' Trust Fiction Prize-finalist Fawn Parker’s next novel, SHUT-IN MAGIC which follows Avalina, an anorexic woman navigating a broken mental healthcare system while facing the lasting effects of intimate partner violence. This singular voice offers intimate, sharp, and vulnerable observations about the far-reaching impact of trauma, self-harm, and domestic abuse. Publication is expected for fall, 2027. The deal was arranged by Ron Eckel at CookeMcDermid Agency.
