Debra Thompson and Joshua Whitehead are finalists for the 2022 Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize For Nonfiction. The Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction is given annually for excellence in the category of literary nonfiction, which includes essays, history, biography, memoir, commentary, and criticism.

Debra Thompson is a finalist for her memoir THE LONG ROAD HOME, and Joshua WHITEHEAD is a finalist for his essay collection MAKING LOVE WITH THE LAND.
