Meira Cook's THE FULL CATASTROPHE to House of Anansi
House of Anansi has acquired World rights to Award-winning author and poet Meira Cook's THE FULL CATASTROPHE, a warm and humorous coming-of-age novel that examines selfhood, identity, family, and gender, featuring Charlie Dervish, born intersexed, as he approaches his bar mitzvah — and decides to make it a double celebration with his grandfather, Oscar, a ninety-year old Holocaust survivor, whose own bar mitzvah was cancelled when the Nazis invaded Poland. Publication is expected for spring 2022. The deal was arranged by Rachel Letofsky.
